Motorcycling for Alzheimer's

       

               Welcome to the Motorcycling for Alzheimer's website.

  This site and its motorcycle events support the "Walk to End Alzheimer's" of Central and Western Virginia. Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide the Alzheimer's Association "Walk to end Alzheimer's" is the world's largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer's care, support and research.

 

  In 2015 we, (Lynchburg Alzheimer's walk team Gigi), set up and ran our first Motorcycle Ride to End Alzheimer's fundraiser.  The 2015 event saw $1,300.00 donated to Alzheimer's, the 2016 event $1,700.00 and the 2017 event $1,975.00.  Each ride was followed up by a luncheon, prize drawings and raffles.

  The U.M.M. from Main St. United Methodist Church in Bedford VA. have been our gracious host sponsors.   Prize drawings and raffle prizes are donations from local businesses,  motorcycle establishments and individuals wishing to support our fundraising.
